Summary
For a long time after Odysseus struck him with his trident, Poseidon, god of the tides, earth-shaker, and storm-bringer, had been busy minding his own business in his kingdom under the sea, keeping away from troublesome affairs that might cost him more losses.
Unfortunately, for him, the Fates were having none of it.
