When Mai gets a call in the dead of the night from Zuko's uncle about how Zuko hasn't come home since the end of the school day and their breakup, her mind doesn't automatically assume kidnapping. She doesn't think anyone could be capable of making Zuko disappear.
But then she finds Zuko's shoe hidden in a dirty curb, and she wishes for once that she was wrong.

There were a few small problems with the situation. The biggest one was the Fire Nation princess herself. While Princess Azula agreed with the plan and had no issue sacrificing her potential suitors to dragon fire, she did have an issue with the notion of being stuck in a tower as bait. She had better things to do.
So Azula did what all good leaders did.
She delegated.
That was how Mai found herself stuck in a tower guarded by a dragon. And she hated every moment of it.
Or, how Sokka saved Mai from a tower.

By this point in my life, receiving confessions has practically become a part of my routine. Wake up, complete all necessary preparations for the day, attend classes, and meander around the back of the school for five minutes at the beginning of lunch to give any would-be suitors the opportunity to be turned down properly.
So really, just another confession wouldn’t be too much to deal with. I’m even fairly good friends with one from the swaths of confessors. That and it isn’t as if I have anyone who I’m particularly interested in.
So how in the world did this one send me into such a tailspin…?

The story is as follows: Shai (Ty Lee) is a young unemployed woman fighting against the evil corporation that wants to dominate the entire world, THC – Torture, Holocaust, and Clothing. Shallia (that’s her real name), despite wanting to take down Bloody Mary, the cannibal owner of the company, needs money to survive. So, she starts doing odd jobs and trying new ventures like pyramid schemes and driving for Uber.
Shallia’s best friend, Maira (Mai) —though she’s really just someone Shallia considers her best friend despite them not being that close—still has a stable job and life. However, Maira has her own struggles: she’s insecure and is also recovering from the end of an online relationship.
Things take a darker turn when the Slave Party manages to pass a bill in Congress reinstating slavery. Now, all the poor and unemployed will be forced into servitude "to eliminate unemployment in the country and make them useful members of society," as the propaganda goes.
Will Shallia manage to sort out her life, make her friend fall for her, and destroy THC along with its cannibalistic CEO? Stay tuned.
