Summary
There were very few ways that today could get worse.
Firstly, because the universe apparently hated Prompto, he'd woken up as a cat. Four fuzzy paws and a tail and all.
He had no idea how that happened, but fuck, it sure did. Magic probably? And Prompto had no idea what to do about it.
---
Prompto is now a cat. This is a problem. Noctis is charmed by this fluffy kitten that's butted his way into his life. Prompto really, really wishes people would stop interrupting him.Series

Summary
Tomorrow they would all be wearing their Crownsguard uniforms to escort Noctis out of Insomnia.
They would be stuck in a car. Then a ferry. Then in Altissia, one of the most romantic places in Eos, if the internet told any amount of truth. And then in a royal wedding.
This wasn't going to be a struggle at all. Nope.

Summary
It’s been fifteen years since dawn came upon Insomnia once again. Fifteen years since Noctis’s death. And yet when Prompto visits Noct’s grave to celebrate his best friend’s birthday there was no body.
Except…Noctis was alive and standing right before him.He had to dream, right? There was no way Noct would just get revived all of a sudden. It didn’t make sense! But…he heard and felt Noct’s breathing. And it was the same. Prompto quickly pulled his camera out and took a picture of Noct. When he looked at the camera screen it turned out that…
It was Noctis Lucis Caelum in all his grandeur. Flesh and blood.

Summary
“Poor little Magitek trooper. All alone, with not a friend in the world,” he hummed, “no place in the world, either. Too tainted to be human, too human to be Magitek.” Ardyn let out a dramatic sigh. “Don’t worry your pretty little head, darling. I can make it all better,” he crooned.
In which Ardyn takes a liking to Prompto, and Prompto starts to believe that maybe, Ardyn might be better company in the Long Night than being alone. It's simply self-preservation, right?

Summary
Prompto couldn’t deal with it. He felt that humiliating, burning sensation under his eyes and decided then that he just needed to get away. He stood up from his chair as quietly as he could and walked in the opposite direction of the tents, into the shadows beyond the haven and into the dark, dangerous night.

Summary
Theme n°46: Family
Prompto lets out a soft gasp and kisses back, not letting himself time to double guess it. The exchange is very short but intense, and after a second, Noctis falls back into the driver seat, grinning at him again. His eyes are shining with affection and mischief, and Prompto’s heart does this thing where it forgets they ever met before, and it falls for him all over again, swelling up until his chest feels too tight, stealing his breath away.
“Happy birthday,” Noctis tells him, and Prompto blinks again.
“But it’s not my birthday,” he answers, completely lost now.
ORIt's been a year since the Sun has risen and the Long Night has ended.
After Prompto has come around, he and Noctis finally get to taste the happiness that has been eluding them for so long. But it's not all sugar and rainbows and through all the joys and first times, many hardships and trials await. The energy crisis is only getting worse as the Meteor has disappeared with Titan, and without an Oracle, speaking to the Gods is impossible.
Determined to marry Prompto no matter the duties inherent to his title, Noctis rules kindly and learns to put himself first.Series

Summary
The whole thing was Prompto’s idea to start with. An offhand comment from Noctis about how great it was to see Gladio tied up, those big muscles useless for once. It sparked an idea in Prompto. He mentioned that idea to Ignis when they were brainstorming for a good birthday present. Ignis helped put some of the ideas together into something more coherent.
Gladio, of course, was the one who was center stage, so they had to get him on board. Honestly they just had to mention birthday present and being tied up before Gladio was already agreeing.
Considering how smug Ignis looked, Prompto was a little worried Gladio might be getting in over his head a bit.

Summary
They’d been doing this for a while now - at least a few months, if Prompto’s memory served. And if Prompto let some of his deeply hidden feelings leak out from that little locked box while Gladio melted away his carefully constructed barriers as he took him apart in bed, then so what? Better here, in the dim motel lighting with the illusion of necessity and mutual need between them, than anywhere else. Right?
Until tonight.

Summary
He knew that a robot could never really replace a person. They had to be updated in order to learn. Their vocabulary would always be limited to their specific purpose. As for Huggles, she didn’t retain her own warmth, and certainly didn’t need hugs for her own sake. She didn't know what ‘welcome home, Prompto!’ really meant. He just hadn’t anticipated it could be this good to be in the arms of an actual person.
When Gladio spoke, Prompto could feel the rumble in his friend’s chest. “Blondie… how…” Gladio paused, then started again. “When’s the last time you were…”
Held? Like this?
“Dunno,” Prompto mumbled. It was only slightly easier than the truth, which was that he did know, that he remembered because it was the most precious memory of his parents he had.
He had been about eight years old.// Prompto grew up one step outside of the rest of the world, so starved for interaction that he made himself a robot to give him hugs. He was certain he wouldn’t get them anywhere else. But then, he met Noctis, Ignis, and Gladio.

Summary
With Gladio’s attention on what’s left of the wasps and mandrakes, slicing through them with reckless abandon, Prompto leaves his cover, guns down a second mandrake, takes off at a run for Noct.
He’s only a few feet away when a shadow leaps down on him from above.
The ground beneath his feet erupts. His body is flung forwards, SMG falling from his hands. He flips over, lands on his back roughly, grunting as he does, his ribs screaming out in protest. He struggles for breath, writhes in agony. Above, there’s a flash of silver in the orange light; a blade, heading right for his face. With a yelp, he rolls over, scrambles away, fingers digging into the mud for purchase. He risks looking up and pales.
Iggy raises his spear and attacks.

Summary
When he looks back, his boyfriend is staring up at him from behind his desk, weariness from long weeks of work wiped from his expression in return for delighted surprise.
“Good afternoon, love,” he says, and Prompto’s heart stutters at both the endearment and the way the words drip with affection. “I’m glad to see you.”
“Igster,” he returns, trying for his usual levity and falling short. Instead, his tone is something like Ignis’: soft, affectionate. It makes him trip over his next sentence. “I—I brought lunch!”Or: Ignis has been so swamped with work recently that he hasn't had time for anything else, so Prompto decides to pay him a surprise visit at the Citadel.

Summary
Maybe they don’t really have the time to be taking on a hunt like this, not when old Cid could be done fixing up the boat any day now. It isn’t even an official mark, meaning there’s no reward. Only, when Prompto caught Noct’s gaze lingering on the string of the hunter who requested this of them, which dangled several inches off the ground, fraying at the end, he knew they would be taking this job regardless of what’s in it for them.

Summary
Phoenix downs come with a price: each time they are used, the user gets a glimpse of a different life, alternate to the one they're saving.
None of Noctis' retinue are quite ready for the horrors of the open world after the Fall of Insomnia, so Prompto's seen more than a couple lives. In each of them, he's with Ignis.
…Except this one.

Summary
It doesn't seem to make any sense. Except it does. Ignis is just so nice. Of course he cooks for Prompto, listens to him talk and holds his hand. That's just how Ignis is.
"You came all this way just for me?” Prompto asks.
“Of course,” Ignis says. “You deserve being cared for now and again, you know.”
Prompto wants to lean over and kiss him but holds himself back, that’s not exactly a friendly thing to do. It would ruin everything they have.
“S’not your job,” Prompto murmurs.
“No,” Ignis says, looking back now. His eyes are so green, sometimes Prompto manages to forget. “It’s my pleasure.”Alternatively: Prompto agrees to go on a date with Ignis — he simply misses it happening.
