The sword that he carried, hidden away in its sheath, beckoned to Revali. The handle glinted softly in the moonlight. He had to tear his eyes away before he grabbed it and threw it off the balcony.
“I don’t like you,” Revali told Link. It would never be said that he was one for subtlety. Link blinked at him. “It should be you, fighting at my side. Not the other way around.”

Summary
Ever since Revali laid eyes on Link for the first time he knew that knight would never measure up. Mipha could heal, Daruk could shield, Urbosa could strike, and Revali could soar. In comparison, it was like Farore took pity on the boy and gave him the Master Sword as a consolation prize. He would never be the Champions' equal, much less Revali's.
But after the unthinkable happens, Revali is left with no one else to rely on.

Revali watched. He couldn't help himself. It wasn't his fault that things ended the way they did, nor was it Link's. Sure, he'd blamed everyone he could find to blame, but when all is said and done, what could anyone have done?
Revali watched long after the ashes settled. Too long, really. He watched, and watched for a hundred years, because what else could he ever do, and watched, and watched, and watched. He watched, and saw as Link met someone new. Someone who made him laugh, and smile, who brought warmth to the stone-cold knight inside his stone-cold shell, and who brought him out of that shell, little by little, until it was discarded like an afterthought.

Summary
From the piles of pieces and parts, the only evidence of the Divine Beasts’ omnipresent watch over the lands, rose four individuals who thought the sun would never reach their eyes, caress their skin, kiss their cheeks again. The Scholars searched for reasons, explanations, a cerebral understanding of the event. The storytellers, however, found something more mortally delicious than anything the history books will tell you.
The storytellers say something happened that day, the day the Four Champions came back to life.
The storytellers say that was the beginning of a love story.
Or, Revali and Link embark on separate journeys to find who they are outside of their predestined roles in the Calamity. Revali has to learn how to inhibit his barely-mature body with a century-old spirit, while Link must discover for himself that he is so much more than the Knight who saved Hyrule. Somewhere along the way, love happens, and neither of them know when it started.

Summary
The four Champions, each a powerful warrior in their own might, each commanding a divine fortress blessed by the gods. These are the most powerful and most recognised of their peers. Mipha, Princess of the Zora. Daruk of the Gorons. Urbosa Queen of the Gerudo. Revali of the Rito. They fought at the sides of the Hylians against the Calamity. But they failed in their mission of fighting off this ancient fiend. Their deaths marked their people.
So I took my twist at the deaths of the Champions, I also took some artistic liberties in portraying their last fights.

Revali doesn't think about how peaceful Link looks as he shuffles closer, draping his weight onto the Rito. There’s a content sigh breathed into his neck, brows smoothing out with a soft hum. Moonlight glistens against tan skin, painting the Hylian in an ethereal glow with freckles as the anchoring constellations.

This is Revali's life now. Glorified messenger carrier. The defeat of Calamity was almost a year ago and the restoration of Hyrule is still underway. Zelda had appointed him a title he doesn't remember and he had and has since freely given his assistance when asked. He is tasked mostly with important message deliverance and retrieval. All things considered, he could be dead so Revali tries to keep his distaste in check. He's not sure where this bitter feeling comes from. It makes an appearance once in while, sweeping through Revali's mind, creating a mess in its wake before losing momentum and receding. And all he can do is right everything askew and get back to work. Flying around the new and wild Hyrule isn't a bad lot in life in all honesty. And not nearly as exhausting as Mipha and the others seem to believe.

Everyone who met the Hero could say that they remember it precisely. Revali was no different.
Hylia's Chosen was rarely seen by anyone other than priests. According to rumors, he lived tucked away in the Temple of Time, guarded only by the Kingdom's best. Those who have been able to catch a glimpse of him say that he is robed in green, and that his face is always covered by a veil. No one really knows what he looks like.
The Hero is regarded as somewhat of a deity among many, especially Hylians. The legends surrounding him ran deep and far back. The few Hylian villages that Revali had been to had left out offerings in clay pots. For the Hero, they'd told him, A tradition that's said to aid Him in His quests, may Hylia watch over Him.
If the rumors were to be believed, the Hero is reborn again and again whenever he was needed, with a piece of the Triforce tied to his soul. Supposedly, he was the only one with the power to defeat Calamity Ganon.
Revali thought it was a load of bullshit.
