Summary
Jason hadn’t brought flowers because Bruce had more than enough people in his life and because Jason had never intended to come here. In fact, Jason was just leaving anyway. He turned crisply on his heel, not knowing why his chest was so tight. He turned back to all the flowers again, finding that Bruce was still just lying there, his eyes closed, his chest barely moving.
“You’re a bastard, you know that right?” Jason snapped. “Got everyone tied around your little finger, don’t you Brucie Boy? All the flowers and for what? What’s your play here? I know you’re faking it so why don’t you just admit it?”
The machines continued to whirl and beep and Bruce Wayne continued to lie there and so Jason continued to clench his shaking fists.
