Summary

Those were also Noah Tatsumi's thoughts when he decided to come camping with seven other children, it was an activity he had been dragged into at the request of his friends.
However, he would quickly realize that this day, this summer, would be like no other as he finds himself pulled into the jaws of an unknown world full of dangers, all alone.

Summary
Last year I used a randomizer, putting all names of the eight Chosen Children of Digimon Adventure, their Digimon partners and Crests into a hat. This way, I tried to give myself a little writing challenge, revolving around a simple "What if...?" premise:
"How would the Chosen Children react to getting approached by the Digimon partners of their friends in certain situations - and how do they display certain Crest attributes?"
Thus, eight one shots were created that I had a lot of fun with. The stories are mostly separate from one another and take place at different parts of the original Digimon Adventure timeline. If you are into what if scenarios and like to explore different character dynamics, feel free to read along...!

Tai is too pushy, Matt isolates himself too much, Joe is so fearful that he'd even compromise his reliability in order to run away, Sora feels a lot more unsure of herself, Mimi's shelterdness and spoiled attitude force her to see a world she doesn't understand and is afraid of, TK's young innocence is shattered time and time again, and meanwhile Izzy in the background is really just losing his mind. “I will open the gate,” Takeru said with a nod, and then grabbed his smartphone D-3. He started to type a message to send with the S.O.S. but…
Something… Something weird happened. The message and S.O.S. were sent (at least), but the phone’s radar had caught a signal of a digimon coming into their direction. They were all alone though…! All they had left was using the gate to leave.
Except a new enemy digimon appeared -- A digimon that was possibly more likely to be based on a Wolpertinger creature from German folklore, Lamortmon. The beast attacked them, forcing both Takeru and Shuu to dodge by ducking to the ground.
Lamortmon unfortunately destroyed the old-school TV, and thus Takeru and Shuu were stuck in that area now. There may be a gate in the next area… If they manage to escape from that digimon.
The wolpertinger-esque digimon roared and then came into their direction.

I wrote this story because not only did I want to but because there was a critical lack of angst SPECIFICALLY involving Davis Motomiya so I took it upon myself to write this. Anyways some Digital world shenanigans occur, Davis gets fucking impaled by a rebar, yes you heard that right, yes you read this right, Ken has the opportunity to end Davis but doesn’t because he just can’t bring himself to do so for some reason he doesn’t quite understand (**cough cough**, Loverboy, **cough cough**), Davis might die but the Kiser/emperor won’t let that happen. Also this might be a slow burn as well but it might not be as well, I haven’t exactly planned that far ahead on this story. Anyways I still suck at summarizing stuff so just read to find out what happens in this angst fic.
