Summary
Ivan Braginsky is a higher ranked Demon Captain of the Circle Treachery in Hell, having no memories of his life before his death, creating him into a perfect souless demon. A monster.
Alfred F. Jones is a sweet and bubbly but naive Angel of the Lord, bravely willing to serve Him.
In a plan to spark the Apocalypse, Ivan's leader, General Winter, demands the kidnapping of an Angel, just to kill any groups coming to save the Angel. Alfred is kidnapped on his birthday by none other than Ivan, imprisoned and tortured as bait for war.
Unknowingly to them, Heaven decides not to aid Alfred, leaving him in the hands of another. In the meantime, the Hellions torture Alfred, physically, mentally, and emotionally, distorting his grip on his faith and reality, leaving Alfred gripping onto a false hope that someone will save him.
As time passes though, Ivan begins to feel sympathy for Alfred, a feeling which no Demon can ever possess. The feelings grow and the sorrow pulling at his dead heart weighs him heavily. Eventually, through hard acceptance, Ivan makes a choice that will decide the fate of humanity: he'll help Alfred.
