Summary
The hulking form of a gorilla, silver and black all over, with hands replaced with heavy steel stumps that weigh it down as it drags its knuckles in the snow, emerges from the pass. It sniffs the air, and locks onto Lucas. Lucas stares back at it, wide-eyed and frozen, and its eyes flash with dangerous rage. It stands up straight and thumps its chest with those steel stumps and bellows. Huge black bat wings unfurl from the back of that masked person, and they fly off just as the gorilla tears past them, snarling. Its pink gums contrast with the black and yellow teeth, sharp like knives and just as long.
“What is that thing?” Lydia whimpers.
