Carmy could feel himself drifting further from reality. Carmy was about to go out front and shout at Ritchie to help in the kitchen when he suddenly felt a stabbing pain in his chest. His lungs, still working overtime, spasmed. The pain increased rapidly as a fire spread over his chest. Something’s wrong he thought, still feeling disconnected from the moment, I need to get Ritchie. With a hand gripping his chef whites he went to walk to the door separating the kitchen and the front of house but as he did his knees buckled sending him crashing to the floor.

Stede and Ed have spent the day on a fruitless treasure hunt (well, apart from the orange). But it definitely wasn't a waste of time. They spent the day together. They enjoyed each other's company. And now, they're co-Captains.
Now Ed feels itchy. Not from the mosquito bites, itchy under his skin. This whole day, combined with Lucius' bold and scathing warning, have only intensified the weird feelings he's been having recently. He's decided it's time to act.
Ed doesn't have a plan as such, but he definitely has an intention. Well, truth be told, he has the start of a plan and he intends to execute it tonight and then just go with whatever happens.
He wants to touch Stede. Maybe kiss him a little too.

His hands slip inside her robe, cupping her full breasts through the thin chemise beneath, before turning his attention to the swell of her stomach.
Their eyes meet in the mirror. “Gevie,” Daemon murmurs, his breath hot on the shell of her ear. Beautiful.
The praise feels like a caress, sending a frisson of pleasure down her spine, and a needy mewl escapes her throat. It takes so little to spark her blood heat these days.
