Summary
She thinks about her brother, how worried he was this afternoon, what Chim told her about that night, how he was digging in the mud, terrified. How he quickly asked her to come over as if it was his own house. How the first thing he did was drive to Eddie’s when he heard he’d called in. How soft he was in the bedroom. She thinks about all the conversations she and Buck have had about Eddie, how it’s slowly clicked into place for her, and how it probably just clicked into place for Buck in the last week- just how much he cares about Eddie, how much he loves him. How much losing Eddie would hurt.
Four days ago, Eddie nearly drowned in a well. Yesterday he changed his will, leaving Chris to Buck, not just because of his own feelings for him. Now he's sick, Buck's worried, but they both have Maddie, who starts to realize just how much Eddie reciprocates the feelings she knows her brother has.

Summary
“He almost got fired,” Eddie said, unable to keep the disdain from seeping into his voice. “It would have destroyed him. He loves that job more than anything.”
“You’re wrong," Taylor said. "I knew the first time I saw that footage from the well rescue that he will always love you the most.”
“What footage?”

Summary
“I know, ‘The Trials and Tribulations of Evan Buckley: A Tragedy in 97 Acts. Now featuring a special 98th titled: Can’t get over his fucking ex, one who claims, and others agree, that said Evan Buckley is unlovable,’” Buck spits.
“Dios,” Eddie sighs, exasperated. “Buck, no, you know that's not true.” He gets up off his swing and crouches in front of Buck. He puts his hand on the side of Buck’s face in an attempt to make him look up, but it doesn’t work.
“Buck, Evan, look at me, please.” Buck finally looks up, tears running down his cheeks...

Summary
the one where Buck worked as a swamp guide in Louisiana before he traveled to Peru
Before Peru and after the SEALS, there was a point in Buck’s life where he didn’t have much direction. Not that that specific point in his life had direction at all but still. Buck was at the ranch for a month when he met an older man from Louisiana named Leo. He had an accent that no one could really understand and a few missing fingers. He told stories of his time as a swamp guide outside of New Orleans, including harrowing tales of wrestling alligators and fishing for killer catfish. These tales, of course, caught Buck’s attention.
After a few weeks of working with him, Buck decided a change in scenery might be necessary. Plus, gumbo didn’t sound all that bad.
Starting somewhere around the end of season 4

Summary
When a viral video of Eddie Diaz heroically carrying an injured Buck through a storm-drenched rescue goes global, everyone at the 118 Firehouse has seen it—except Eddie. Unaware of the footage that’s racked up millions of views (and even more comments about their “undeniable chemistry”), Eddie spends days baffled by his crew’s stifled laughter, cryptic jokes, and Buck’s sudden inability to act normal around him. It isn’t until Christopher innocently mentions the “movie-like” video that Eddie discovers the truth: the world thinks he and Buck are in love.
Confronting Buck leads to a long-overdue confession, but the real surprise isn’t the kiss—it’s the firefam’s betting pool finally cashing in.

Summary
Thank you for always thinking about Chris first. Not just with the fun stuff. You always put what he needs first. Not everyone does that. I’m not sure even I always do that but you do.”
In the future, Eddie will tell Buck that he changed his will after the events at the well in which he almost lost his life, because Buck will always put Chris first.
This is when he realises that's the case, and realises something else along the way.

Summary
Eddie looked...picked apart. Laid out in a way no one was supposed to see. Like he forgot how to hold himself together, barely grasping onto the pieces, stuck debating if trying is even worth the effort anymore.
Suddenly Buck wonders if he should grab his keys and Christopher for that emergency room visit.
"Eddie?"
Eddie doesn't even acknowledge him for a moment, just holds his head down, breathing through his mouth, probably too congested for anything else. Buck wishes there was a bit more light, just enough to see where the man's eyes were, if they were closed. If Buck was crazy for thinking he didn't look that far off from praying.
Or, the Diaz boys are sick and Eddie gets a little lost because of it. Buck steps in when it becomes too much. Ft. hard conversations and confessions, teaching and learning from one another, and a lot of Diaz family goodness.
Love is stored in a box of popsicles, etc etc.

Summary
Every muscle in Eddie locked up the second he was out of the truck and rounding the corner they were being led towards, gaze drawn immediately to the ladder truck standing in the middle of the recreated street, its ladder fully extended, and– and there was Buck again, hanging from the end by nothing but the harness Eddie had pulled tight on him before telling him “Alright, cowboy, go get em,” words that had almost been the last thing he ever said to him. There was Buck, limp and strung up like a marionette puppet. There was Buck, water pooling on his turnout coat and falling to the ground below in splashes like some morbid, gruesome version of the cones at waterparks. There was Buck and he wasn’t breathing, his heart wasn’t beating, he was gone. Again. Rain seemed to sting his skin, cutting his face, his hands, his arms, his neck like small needles falling from the sky, and there was a scream, a desperate call of a name pushing at the back of his tongue, begging to escape, and–

Summary
After the well, Eddie takes a shower. Buck helps.
OR:
The hand on his shoulder moves, an easily telegraphed descent that leads from his shoulder to the hem of his tee. There’s heat building there, the kind that Eddie could give himself over to fully and not have enough of. When he looks up, Buck is bent over him, blue eyes warm and wide and worried.
“Trust me?” He says, voice soft like there’s a chance Eddie will say no, like it takes Eddie any of his dying willpower to answer a question that’s never been one.
“Always.”

Summary
Buck had a lot of things going for him. He had his job and his best friend. There was no reason to want more, to want to take a bigger role in Christopher's life. He was wanted and it was good.
He was good until his parents came to visit. Even though his life is falling apart, at least he has Eddie, right? -

Summary
Eddie looked over to Buck in the driver’s seat, who had been glancing over every two seconds to make sure Eddie was still breathing. Buck, who kept an extra jacket and snacks for Chris in his car, who modified the jeep to make it a little easier for Chris to climb in himself, who listened attentively while Chris debriefed them both about his school day at the kitchen table every other night. Who let Chris find his own way in the world, a constant supportive net with his hands clasped tight in Eddie’s instead of assuming he’d need constant help like damn near every adult in Christopher’s life.
Or, the four days following the well collapse.

Summary
He’s sensed Eddie’s lust before - senses it from everyone all the time, which means he knows way more about his co-workers than he ever really wants too - back when Shannon was still around. He’d catch a whiff of it if they slept together before Eddie came into work, but it was dull - flat and boring in comparison to whatever’s going on with him now.
Losing Shannon and then everything else going on immediately after pretty much killed Eddie’s libido where it stood, as far as Buck can tell, but now - a few days after the well collapsed and nearly stole Eddie away from him - his aura is a vibrant shock of red and purple and colors Buck’s never seen before, let alone have names for.
Or- Eddie being buried alive beneath 30ft of mud has some interesting consequences.

Summary
Buck stepped into the shower and crossed to him, his shoes squeaking on the wet tile. He reached for the hem of Eddie’s shirt and pulled it over his head, tossing it into the corner in a heap.
“Buck, your shoes,” Eddie protested.
“Will dry.” Buck continued to undress Eddie, leaving his boxers on as he pulled the saturated pants down his thighs. Eddie braced himself on Buck’s shoulder as he stepped out of them and they joined his shirt in the corner.

Summary
Tommy Kinard recently came out to the entirety of the 118 during a drinking night... only to take a month-long vacation. When he gets back, there's a new probie - Evan "Buck" Buckley. And Tommy is doing his damnedest not to have a crush on that straight guy.
EXCERPT:
“Shit. He did it again! I can’t believe the probie did it again!” yelled Chimney as he rushed out of the locker room.
“He can’t be that far, let’s go!” said Hen as she ran to catch up with Chimney.
Tommy.
Had no fucking clue what was going on, but he was going to help.
“What?” asked Tommy, genuinely confused, “What did he do?”
“Fucker just stole the engine again for sex,” stage-whispered Chimney as he glanced up at the office to make sure Nash wasn’t watching them sprint outside, “He’s probably parked it somewhere nearby. Maybe if we find him quick, Bobby won’t notice.”
Sex.
He.
He was having sex in the engine?
“The probie is having sex where we work?” asked Tommy, a little horrified.
