Summary
As it turns out, happy endings are scarcely perfect. Even after you and Asriel broke the barrier, forces of light and dark coalesced against the monsters of Mt. Ebott. Even with all the determination in the world, you found that you could not move forward. So, you decided to move backward, instead.
Even then, despite the temporary solution you found, being the only one to ever return from Mt. Ebott has its downsides. The Ministry of Magic has questions, and you don’t know if they’ll like your answers.
