Of course, Callie had to come home. Of course she had to smell so addictive and be so kind and have such a nice voice. More than anything, she hated that Callie was seeing her like this. Hated that she wanted Callie’s hands on her. Hated that Callie must feel obligated to help her. Hated it all.

Arizona hadn’t touched herself in weeks. She couldn’t bring herself to. It was just another thing she disliked about herself, another thing for her to feel dysphoric about. It had been years since she’d felt this bad about herself — Callie had helped her feel powerful and confident in her body and how she used it — but now it was all-consuming. And with her leg as well, Arizona Robbins had never felt less desirable in her life.
What was the point of pleasure if she only had five toes to curl with her release? What was the point of it if she couldn’t stand behind her wife, couldn’t kneel, couldn’t wrap her legs around Callie?
It was pointless. Futile. Stupid. Useless.
That was it. Arizona felt useless.

Addison didn’t want to worry, didn’t want to think in the worst case scenario. But they’d been long distance for over two and a half years. They rarely saw each other more than twice a month. And she was just a naturally pessimistic person, call it life experience or whatever, but she couldn’t stop the nagging feeling that something was wrong. She really hoped nothing was wrong, that Meredith was just distracted with work. Which was entirely possible, she’d been picked to be the general surgeon representing Seattle Grace Mercy West in a conjoined twins surgery in Boise. It was an incredible responsibility and one of the many reasons Addison wanted to visit her to celebrate. But Meredith didn’t want her to.
Meredith hadn’t even answered her when she asked if she missed her. The silence and then the hasty hanging up made Addison even more nervous. It added more fuel to the fire. Surely this wasn’t the end of them.

She cursed the loss of her leg as she pushed and pulled herself unevenly across the floor. Suddenly, she was aware that she couldn’t move any further. As much as she pushed herself along the floor, she was being held back by something.
