Summary
Lucy trails her hand along the countertop. He watches her smaller fingers curve along the edge as though she’s focusing on the smoothness of the formica. As though she’s grounding herself. Heaven knows he has to do that multiple times a day. Ever since he was grounded from the RAF due to a shoulder injury, he’s found himself lost in flashbacks that he’s not even sure ever happened. Sometimes reality and fantasy toe the line and he can’t tell what’s a real memory and what’s a buried fear, forced so deep that the terror might as well be six feet under.

Summary
The Problem never happened. Ghosts are not a widespread phenomenon, and the agency system never took root. And yet, newly eighteen-year-old Lucy Carlyle is still plagued by visions and whispers of ghosts, a phenomenon no amount of medical intervention can fix. She's stuck suffering in silence, pretending the ghosts don't exist.
That's probably why she throws caution to the wind and hops a train to London. The city can't be worse than her uncaring mother and cold, distant sisters, can it? She even manages to find a safe place to land with Catherine, the priestess and medium for a church that caters to the ghost-obsessed. There, at least, her affliction doesn't make her feel like so much of a freak.
Or it didn't, until one Anthony J. Lockwood shows up on their doorstep, claiming to be an anthropology student studying religions centered around spiritualism. He takes an odd interest in her, the kind of interest she doesn't know how to interpret. But, like gum on the bottom of her shoe, she can't seem to get rid of him.

Loving it! Set Pre problem when Lucy joins one of those death church cults because all her life, nobody had believed her when she said she could see and hear ghosts. It turns out the church is evil and has been killing and taking talented kids to experiment on. However, she got to Lockwood & Co. after having to break out of a cellar with the help of a murder victim.
The Church was determined to get her back and soon found her to take her to a facility holding their other kidnapped youth. Here, she meets Kips and Co. as well as Skull. They were in the middle of an escape attempt when they ran into Lockwood & Co., who turned out to be on their way to rescue Lucy after all.So exited to see how this plot develops! In this one most of the ghosts can communicate back to Lucy which I love! Have subbed
