Summary
The war is over, Megatron has been slain at the hands of the Autobots. Shockwave had managed to pull Starscream away just before he jumped in to recklessly avenge his master.
The war is over now... At least to Starscream, now he has a few plans of his own once he calms down from the loss of Megatron: To regain his old frame, and to return to Earth and pick up someone left behind. As he does this plan, he will have the old memories he'd long since buried, resurface while he gains new bonds with an enemy and two others.

Fire-breathing dragons, skeletal avian monsters living inside asteroids being simultaneously their home, egg and dinner, or giant purple griffins are real, after all, then how other things are not?

Shockwave is many things.
He’s a scientist by profession, a prodigy to his school, a politician to his “colleagues,” and an unfeeling monster to all.
The years leading to and after that terrible accident has left the husk of the man he was, if he could still be called a man now. Most believe it’s irreversible, very few disagree with little evidence of a prognosis. He didn’t need their meddling in what needed to be done; he doesn’t allow it when humanity relies on his intellect for their survival, not his opinion.
One of the many things he sure isn’t is a parent. And that won’t change.
