But he cannot bring himself to, and so he sits alone in his tent. He shouldn’t be alone. He hasn’t told Torchbearer that, either, because he always assumed he knew. It’s an assumption he’s had to reconsider, after the journey from Voldsøy.
Clancy settles in the Bandito camp after his return from Dema and Voldsøy.

Summary
Clancy has been freed from Dema a few mounths ago. But even if he feels more free and safe than he's even felt before, he can't help but feel threaten all the time. The Torchbearer is worried about how Clancy is a bit paranoïd all the time, speaking about his Bishop like he could strike him at anytime, but, eventually, the threat becomes real. The camp is found by Nico, and the Banditos spread to run from him. Separated from Torch, Clancy and the two teens he was protecting disapear.
Torch struggles to keep up with his best friend's absence, Clancy fights for his life under Nico's control, and the Bandito camp tries its best to stay alive after everything is destroyed.

Summary
The red fabric whipped around in the air, draping itself around Clancy's shoulders. The subtle black suffocation creeping up his face, until it split his head in two.
Torchbearer stood and watched, as all the progress and the fight he fought with Clancy crumbled down. They defeated Nico and the Bishops, but at what cost?
Clancy offered the blood red robe to him. Recognition escaped Clancy's eyes. He could not see the yellow that Torchbearer dawned anymore.
Torchbearer had to do something. He had to find Clancy again, but this wasn't Clancy. No, this Clancy was gone.
So he does all that he knows how to do. Disappears into the air, as if he was never there.

Clancy becomes a bishop, and Torchbearer uses his projection traveling powers to find him again, and ends up somewhere outside of Trench, somewhere in the past.

Summary
He could see the toll that the events of the week had taken on himself, the cracked mirror in his tent beaming back an appearance of dark circles under his eyes and a growing buzzcut that Torch wasn’t sure he had the strength to keep shaving. It reminded him too much of Clancy.
Another mysterious bruise littered Torch’s skin. Dark purple and tender, a reminder of something that he couldn’t quite recall. It stretched across his shoulder, definitely too big of a mark for him to have gained without his knowledge.
or: legend has it that when two joined souls meet for the first time, they begin to experience each other's pain. Torch learns this after Clancy is recaptured and taken back to Dema
