Summary
When a Sage of Primus is murdered in cold blood, the only detective for the job is Ex-enforcer Prowl and his co-worker (read: Assistant) Smokescreen. But as a mech shows up, seeming to fit the evidence perfectly, and layers upon layers of the case unravel, Prowl can't help but feel like something is going very wrong. There is a rot at the foundation of their society, and the hollow space it leaves behind allows even worse things to fester and grow. Jazz has to prove he didn't murder anyone, Prowl has to stop Jazz from running away, and the two have work together to solve the mystery.

Orion Pax siempre había sido muy observador de las cosas que lo rodeaban. Y ante el asombroso detalle que tenía del color de la armadura de su mejor amigo, empezó a preocuparse cuando esta empezó a perder tonalidad de un día para otro. Notando cada vez más cansado a uno de los bots que nunca se mostraba cansado o afectado por el duro trabajo que les demandaban.
No queriendo preocuparse o parecer un paranoico por el repentino cambio, empezó a idear la forma de indagar qué cosa le estaba pasando. Y qué mejor forma de saberlo que preguntárselo directamente a D-16. Pero no podía hacerlo así sin más, pareciendo un vil chismoso. Lo haría con clase. Como sólo Orion Pax podía conseguir información.

It’s nothing but a lifeless orb of onyx. Black as midnight, smooth as glass. Though his optics are what he sees, it’s as if the damn thing itself is what glares back. Every day he comes down into the ceremonial hall where no bot can see him sitting before the dais staring up at the Matrix, praying for the day he can look at it and not hear the sickening slash of Megatron’s sword slicing through Optimus Prime’s throat. The heavy thud of metal on dirt as the former Prime’s body is relieved of its head haunts him. There was nothing he could do but grit through the burning tears while Ultra Magnus held him back, demanding his silence to avoid being discovered. It was so cowardly, so shameful. They could have stopped Megatron, they could have saved Optimus, but instead they hunkered down in the shadows until it was safe to make a b-line for the ship.

It's almost the Iacon 5000. Everyone is preparing for the competition, but Chromia intends to put them all to shame by being first to cross the finish line. But then...everything changes. In a sudden turn of events, ex-miners Orion Pax and D-16 become a Prime and a ruthless warlord respectively, upheaving Chromia's entire life. It's not just a matter of racing anymore, it's a matter of survival.
Meanwhile, Ironhide, one of the new Prime's first recruits, has at last gained his t-cog. Chromia has always taken her cog for granted. Ironhide wouldn't part with his for the world.
But maybe, despite their differences, they're more similar than meets the eye...

D-16 uses the pen name Megatron to revolutionise his ideas before being put to work near the core of the planet and ultimately heading off to Maccadam's, which may or may not change the utmost projectory of his life.Oh yeah, he also meets a cogless Orion Pax who's determined to help D-16/Megatron make a change in their functionalist society. However, one gets a cog before the other and causing a slight turmoil in how they view each other's impact.

Optimus and Prowl get into a fight about a strategy Prowl has.
It is war and war has risks and sacrifices. Some autobot could die, but it will end the war faster, saving many more lives. This has been an argument between them since the war started.
Optimus still does not like the plan and demands something better.
Prowl overworks his processor and ends up crashing it. The constructicons find him and end up taking care of him.**unsure exactly which direction I'll go with this. I'll add tags as I add more chapters. Possible Jazz add in later? Who knows?
