Apollo, the God of The Sun, had been casted down from Olympus. After going after quest by quest with Meg McCaffrey and several others, he was now bestowed under the alarming presence of Python. As the giant serpent swung attacks at him, Apollo couldn't help but reminisce about the older times – back when he was just starting out his trials.
Within all the hardships and true loyalty, not every good story has a good ending. Likewise in Apollo’s matter, not every last line in a Haiku means a good thing. As he fell into the unknown abyss of the universe, the only thing in his mind was his sons and daughters.
After the lingering death of the ex-god, the remnants of his question are still afloat back at Camp Half-Blood: Was he a good father?
But, that question will be later questioned after the camp finishes off Python themselves.

The breaking of a mirror was a huge insult towards gods and would cause them to rain down 7 years of bad luck on you. Apollo didn’t like the symbolism of them lying there, especially since he had no idea how the mirror even ended up in the forest.'
