"Okay, fine." Chaghan fell silent for a moment before reaching for and clasping her hand. Her brother was surprisingly sentimental when it came to people he cared about (which were no more than a handful), for someone who was raised to be pretty pragmatic. "Still, I think we will be fine as long as we are together."
"Because we are anchor twins?" Qara jeered. But Chaghan was serious.
"Because it's you and me against the world."

Chaghan and Qara are staying in the Ketreyid camp for a few weeks until they reach their eleventh birthday and leave for Nikan. Ketreyid hostility and lots of sibling-moments ensue.
