Summary
In a world where Lae'zel was never aboard the nautiloid, Tav still undertakes the quest to defeat the Absolute. She joins the githyanki in their fight against Vlaakith, giving her devotion to Orpheus—and eventually crosses paths with Lae'zel, one of Vlaakith's most devoted knights. As the rebellion escalates, the pair end up as allies. Side by side, they work to bring down the lich queen.
Of course, it becomes more than a simple alliance.

Tav takes perhaps not the best opportunity to ask for a favor from Orpheus (or the best, depending on your perspective). Voss is not pleased about it.
