Obi-Wan stepped closer, drawn to this mysterious hunter whose eyes sought his in the near-darkness, head tilting very slightly as if still hearing Obi-Wan’s racing pulse, the singing of blood in his veins.
The sky was barely light enough to see, stars faint above them. Obi-Wan felt hollowed out, exhausted from battles and war rooms and cease-fires that never lasted. Here, there was no war. There was only this stranger and the impossible endless call of the Force.
