Summary
Bilbo and Frodo sail to Valinor on the Last Ship. Frodo is still wounded in body and soul from his time as Ring-Bearer. But Bilbo is all but lost once again to grief, sorrow, loss, and the pain of the knowledge that he alone is responsible.
A new plan is made, for a new refrain in an old melody, created in the long stretch of time between the beginning of the Age of Man and the end of Arda. The wounded souls of Bilbo Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield are quietly smuggled from their isolated deaths and remade, refashioned, renewed before they are sung into the new refrain at the moment of their first meeting - not at an Unexpected Party, but across a crowded Market.
New Beings, Old Souls, a familiar Quest, with a very different Outcome.
**An Important Note: Hobbit lifespans are only slightly less than Dwarrow, say 2/3 or so.**
