Summary
Hebert’s lectures were never-ending, they could still be heard faintly even as Dan rolled to his side and slammed the pillow as hard as he could into his ears; how was he supposed to want to get up and do anything when his whole life had been taken? He’s basically already dead, without the added benefit of Herbert being gone.
Shockingly enough, dealing with the fallout of death isn't either of the men's strong suit, neither is placing healthy boundaries.
