Summary
Illandar, a lonesome vampire pirate with no ship and no crew (not for several hundred years), who, like many vampires, has a dark past and tends to wax philosophical inside his own head, makes his way through the snows of the Pale to return a lost child. His Housecarl, Lydia, is with him, and he vehemently denies developing any sort of feelings for her.
