It's hard to let herself be soft. Even like this, her mind goes too fast, and tells her to run, to hide. But Dominik is safe. He's always been safe. She'll be fine.
"Hi," she manages to say, quieter than she meant it to be. He smiles, shoulders relaxing. Oh. She must've scared him. She didn't mean to worry him. He seems to be worrying about everything, lately.
"Hey. You've been up here for a while. Everything alright?"
"Alright," she echoes, nodding. She isn't sure if that's true, but it feels like the right thing to say. That's what she says when she doesn't want him to worry.
