La presente storia narrerà le disavventure di Evelynn "Evie" Summers, a partire dal giorno in cui ha avuto un terribile incidente e si è accidentalmente trasformata in una creatura acquatica in versione animata dotata di superpoteri conosciuta come "Syren (della porta accanto)", facendo qualche accenno anche all'incontro con Niles Caulder "The Chief" e poi con l'attuale Doom Patrol, nonché riprendendo le battute e situazioni mostrate nella serie TV omonima.
