Death had thought their brother needed a friend. Destiny knows that he needs a rescuer. Unbeknownst to Hob Gadling, he will be all that, and more.
Or: Destiny decides that Dream has been in the bubble long enough.

Morpheus tries his best to remain as calm and untouchable to the outside when yet he is internally breaking by the methods of those immoral mortals, but as the torture continues even after Roderick's death, he fears to lose hope.
But there will be more than graphic-violence, you also get a dead bird, a morally torn son of the tormentor, an incredulous serial-killer and a heart-melting librarian
