Summary
Hamlet died, but only in the real world. Now he finds himself in a weird place. His castle. But he's alone and this turns out to be a sort of limbo. He is stuck between life and death and, therefore, has to make a pact if he wishes to return.
A Hamlet sequel where Hamlet has to choose if he should sell his soul for returning. The thing is that he won't come back as he was before.

Summary
And it had been good, what you had, trekking back to Elsinore together. Late nights and candles and the tucking of hair behind ears, brown eyes and blue eyes and not a prince at all but someone new who made their home in your heart. And his gaze had stayed soft in a way nobody else’s had ever done before, and you sometimes just sat shoulder-to-shoulder in silence and watched the sheep graze on the islands, and a new companionship grew between you, something well-worn and familiar.
But then the message had arrived, or maybe it was before that, when you started to see the shadows in the corners again and your father told you to hasten your pace, and everything started to fall apart in the same familiar way it once did- slowly at first and then all at once. And you watched as he grew distant, as his eyes turned soft with affection to cloudy with pity or despair or lost chances, and you turned towards what you always did and picked up the blade again.

Summary
Horatio monolouges about his vow to keep Hamlet's memory alive and positive by romanticizing the "real" story and inventing the canon narrative. If that makes sense? idk i wrote this for my ap lit class and it was actually kinda good so yea.
