Summary
Edelgard was under no illusions that the war against Those Who Slither in the Dark would be a simple matter, but she was prepared to face Thales. Meanwhile, Shez has to face her own nightmares, overcome the remaining Sages, figure out a way to save the thralls, balance her goals with her growing affection—her love—for Seiros, figure out how to cobble together a society, and hope that she can do it all without fighting a war with all of Fódlan—which is blasting through her doorstep day by day. But she’s not alone anymore—and while no good deed goes unpunished, that doesn’t mean it has to go unrewarded too.
