It was pretty obvious that morning that everything was about to be crap.
Almost as soon as Mario woke up from what was supposed to be a peaceful slumber, he could feel the fuzzy, burning feeling lining the back of his throat. A taste so bad that every time he swallowed he thought he was going to throw up. A sense so horrible he longed to tear his own throat out.
A sure-fire sign that he was, in fact, getting sick.
