"Siuan hadn't seen Moiraine since before getting stilled. Part of her thought she never would meet her ever again, part of her thought she was dead but now... They were different, two completely different people from when they last saw each other. Siuan had weeped for Moiraine’s death, and cheered with joy when Lan wrote to her saying that Moiraine had been rescued from the Finn world. The time had come to finally see her lover's face once again. If that's what they even were, after fate so cruelly took them to different paths. Neither Mat nor Lan allowed Siuan to join them on the quest of getting Moiraine out of the Finn and Nynaeve signed off on that. Siuan waited for two months until their arrival."

“Siuan, we…” They had to do it. It devastated Moiraine how it would hurt Siuan to see this through, but her feelings were immaterial. The Wheel would not spare them because it was not in its nature to care. Moiraine must go willingly because the world could afford nothing else.
