Summary
The purpose of this research is to examine what "anti/proship" are as subcultural fannish identities, as discursive phenomena within online slash fandom, and how "anti/proship" as identity labels and community categories have impacted or influenced contemporary fannish narratives of community archiving and of critical archiving. Anti/proship are contemporary categories within online slash fandom that allude to different types of fans within fandom.

This is a literal Master's Paper done as partial completion of a Master's Program, and pursuant to AO3 Tos' definition of nonfiction being allowed on the archive, is allowed as a "Commentary on fandoms" and as a "meta" essay.The first chapter is the paper in its entirety.
