Arai buried herself further into the comforter laid atop her, trying to push away the cold that was attacking her from all sides. The power had just recently gone out and she got cold quick.
Well, what did she expect? She knew her roof could collapse at any time, but she was stuck inside for another few hours, no way she was leaving the house. She couldn't go outside due to the risks of hypothermia and getting lost. If she did go outside, she'd never make her way back into the house. The wind was blowing the snow fast enough to make almost nothing visible outside of the windows.

Achlys sat at her desk, her eyes locked onto the screen of her laptop. The screen was bright, a contrast to the dark closing around her like a soft hug.
A blanket clung to her shoulders, on the verge of slipping to the floor. She would reach out each time it almost fell, not having the strength to pull it up fully.
The cursor of her mouse drifted lazily across the screen, Achlys's eyes watching it drag across the white background. She wasn't even focusing on the video that was playing. She didn't even know what it was.
Oh, well. It was probably something boring anyways.
Her throat widened, and she automatically opened her mouth to yawn, leaning back and putting her arms in the air, stretching them. She was tired. But she couldn't bring herself to sleep.

Mercury laid on her back, the bed beneath dipping and making her feel slightly encased in the mattress, clinging to her sweaty skin. It was annoying, being super late at night and all and she couldn't sleep.
Selene was laying next to her, nothing laying between them. It made Mercury pause. She should... She should leave the other alone. But Selene was asleep. She wouldn't know if Mercury did anything to her, right..?
Hesitantly, Mercury turned onto her side, eyes locking onto the Moon. Her clothes felt freezing cold almost immediately, the sweat cooling down shockingly fast from being trapped between her and the mattress for too long.
