Summary
Many people and drones outside of Earth know of it's destruction, seen the videos and learned about it through various ways.
None of them understand what it was like living through it though, watching their world smothered by ash, metal, and flesh.
These are the stories of those who did, both man and machine. Some of them were lucky, most of them not.
Regardless, everything here is a consequence of fatal errors, misguided anger, and one little drone who was at the wrong place, wrong time.

Life as a drone in the Elliot Manor is terrible. Life as something of an adoptive daughter there is better: fewer beatings, more free time, more spending power, better fashion choices, and legal personhood. It's literally J's dreams come true. All she has to deal with is V being on the warpath, James and Louisa Elliot, their many many enemies, her behavior toward N, bullet drop, lingering psychological trauma, climbing the social ladder, how exactly this all happened... Oh, and the inevitable drone uprising. But that last one definitely won't take a slice off her life in this new world.
Direct sequel to "Where My Mixed Up Life Could Mend." Otherwise standalone.

Serial Designation V had a lot of things taken from her-her body, her mind, and her soul. In the ensuing destructive war between twisted machines such as her and a fiercely-resisting humanity, she's bound to lose even more, to the point where she wonders if there's anything left to live for.
She's not the only one suffering from loss though, and maybe they can hold onto each other...if they survive.

They lived as happily as they could in a manor with a conspicuous absence of eldritch horrors and zombie drones, but with unchanged, unapologetic James and Louisa. Elliot. An alternate universe? A dream? A trap? A shared delusion? None of them know what's happening, and they're afraid even to talk about it lest their curiosity somehow end it. Given a new lease on life, one without the daily threat of death -or worse- happening to her, perhaps J can finally begin learning how to play nice with others. Maybe it was the unreasonable and unbearable circumstances of life as a drone in the Elliot manor that made J so unreasonable and unbearable. Everyone around her hopes so.
