Summary
No two mutants are created equal, and Ted Johnson definitely did not feel equal to any mutant. Although technically not a mutant, Ted got invited to stay at the Xavier Institute because something very interesting and unique took up residence in his head. Treated as a second-class, even third-class citizen in the mansion, it seemed reasonable Ted would throw his lot in with the others who, despite being mutants, rarely garnered any respect. Years of toiling as the Institute's sole accountant, being scoffed at, and basically treated as inferior, it comes as a shock when Ted learns how deeply he is feared by the powers that be.
