Summary
“It’s an Axew, a Dragon-type Pokémon,” Akari said easily as if she hadn’t just answered one of the questions that had been tormenting Ingo for the past five years. “The plush is a Build-A-Mon. Basically, the idea was that you picked out a Pokémon and the store gave you the parts for the plush, and you assembled it yourself. There were these little plush hearts that you’d put inside, and you’d write your name on them, or make one for your friend, so the plushie would love you forever.”
Ingo becomes a toymaker, making stuffed Pokémon for all the children of Hisui, hoping that it will give him the skill and confidence to open up the plush toy he arrived in Hisui with to find the plush heart Akari says is inside all Make-A-Mon Pokémon.
He doesn’t know if it will hold a clue to his past, but the chance it does is too much to resist, even if Ingo hates the idea of risking damage to his Axew plush.
