(Not me writing yet another HTTYD fic based around Hiccup and Toothless being the best friends ever + Hiccup having chronic pain)"Sorry, bud. I'll be better once I've warmed up a bit." His best friend chuffs at him, unimpressed, and a rumble of lightning-fire rises up his chest, a faint glow lighting up his broad neck from within. For Hiccup, it's like standing next to a just-banked fire, all embers and coals with the occasional lick of flame.
It helps, both warm and home-familiar-them.
Hiccup sighs, sinking further into Toothless' side, shamelessly draping himself over his best friend's neck, luxuriating in the warmth of it all, in the rumbling that shudders through them both.
But they can't stay still forever, so eventually Hiccup pushes himself upright once again, determined to get on with the day.

Hiccup is Slightly OC in this story he is still the sarcastic preeteen we know and love but he deals with stress differently here. Toothless is able to change from human to dragon forms in this story hence the use of hybrid in the tags. This fanfiction is basically a mash up of other fanfictions I have seen, I am combining the elements of them into something new. (That and I just want to see more than one Wholesome chubby hiccup fanfiction. I am also sorry to those who are looking for a story with decent explicit scenes this is my first time writing something with those kinds of scene in it don't judge to badly and I apologize in advance.)
