Summary
For Tai, a sixteen year old inkling living on his own in the city of Splatsville, life is a strict pattern. A couple work shifts at Grizzco, a game of Turf War with his friends, then back to his sleepy apartment for the night. For the last two years, he’s kept this rhythm going, not letting anyone or anything tear down the walls he’s worked so hard to build. Between him, his two friends, and his job, Tai doesn’t need nor want anything else. So why is it then, that Beatrice, a friendly-to-a-fault inkling girl, found a way into his life so easy, without even meaning to? And why, though try as he might, Tai can’t hate her for it…even now when everything is changing.
