Summary
When Jessie, James, and Meowth show up on the doorstep of Professor Kukui’s beach house, Ash is understandably… confused. No tricks, they promise—they wanted out, and Ash was the only one they knew they could trust.
Of course he’ll help them, even if it means embracing the very things he’s ran from for most of their journeys together. He has connections—unused, but still valid—but for them, he’d use them. After all, they’ve always been there, every step of the way.
Other than Pikachu, they’re the only ones who have always been there.
