a thick cloud of smoke fills the air as Charles and I struggle to get out of the water, harsh coughs leaving all of us as I try and get the small amount of water out of my lungs. as I struggle out of the water, bringing myself to my feet, I see a large figure in the smoke. "Huh?" Link grunts in confusion a couple of feet away from me. "The fuck?" I see the thing's hands move, bringing it up to its face to stare at the limb. I gasp softly, making a worble leave its mouth as it turns harshly, making eye contact with me. fear fills me, keeping my mouth shut as it backs away. Link seems to be in the same boat, his eyes wide with no sound leaving him. the creature jumps upward, the glass of the ceiling breaking. the hold on Link seems to break as he rushes forward, grabbing his camera. he whistles loudly, his favorite way of calling my name. "I'm fine!" I call out, a shiver wracking my body from my soaked clothes and hair.
