Something is effecting the Underworld. The Underworld Princess has fallen ill and a disease slowly heads towards the demons that can kill them off in less than a month once it finds a host. A human is rumored to be causing these unfortunate events and the Master of the Mononokean is tasked in finding the culprit. However, being human, Abeno Haruitsuki, is suspected as well and his life will be taken away if he cannot find them. However, this is only one of his worries.
In the human world, demons are being tortured and killed off by someone who can use Influence. It is unknown how long it will be until demons are safe. Conflicted, Abeno will have no choice to enlist the help of Ashiya, a former friend who loathes him but can see demons.
Will Ashiya accept to help? Or will Abeno be forced to relive seeing demons die off like years ago?
