Summary
Jote would never abandon her duty, could never imagine sullying the nigh-sacred bond between them with her own shameful desires. She was the Phoenix’s Attendant, and she would embody that title with the whole of her being, if only to protect what they had.
Ultima could not suffer such a bond to survive.
Joshua would not see her bound by it, either. As Valisthea falls around them, Jote learns there is more to her life -- and to her bond with Joshua -- than duty alone.
(A smutty Jote POV canon semi-rewrite giving her the character development she sorely needed. Covers pre-timeskip to game ending.)

Summary
Not long after she turns six, Jote hears whispers of what later comes to be known as the Night of Flames. She rushes to the entrance to see what all the commotion is about, and there, being carried in the midst of the crowd is a boy. A boy who looks to be sleeping, but is covered in bruises and burns and cuts. A boy whose hair is the color of fire and has long trails of feathers made of flame.
There is Joshua Rosfield.
The Phoenix.
Her destiny.

Summary
Bestowed the title “Bearer of the Burning Quill”, Cyril was to one day act as a recorder and advisor for the current incarnation of the Phoenix, all the while penning down the diety's noble deeds. But on a fiery night, when hope for the future should have burned brightest, a crueler fate was delivered, and the Undying were left with the broken body of their icon, and forced to seek sanctuary within Tabor.
(Ie. Cyril makes sure two kids are going to grow up well... but less fun, more serious. Every 2 chapters, time moves forward a few years. )

Takes place pre-game when the Undying discover that Clive is alive and ready their assassins to kill him but Joshua stops them.
Primarily written from Jote's point of view and delves into her emotions and thoughts regarding Joshua's and her past, present, and future.(Canon & Ultimania compliant!)
