When Dimitri invited Felix to his annual Thanksgiving celebration during their third year at Garreg Mach University, Felix was understandably hesitant. “I’ll think about it. It doesn’t seem like my thing,” Felix said.
“Please, Felix, we would love to have you there,” Dimitri pleaded, interlacing his fingers. “It’ll just be our usual group, and whoever they decide to bring.” Felix huffed. The usual group consisted of eight rag-tag GMU students who had found each other entirely by chance during their freshman year. Felix wasn’t sure why, but they always included him in group chats and dragged them along to their group outings. It wasn’t that he disliked them or was ungrateful for their inclusion of him, it was just that the idea that people would actually want to be around him felt foreign.
