"Please, Azure," Two Time breathed, their voice cracking. "Please, come back to me. The Spawn will make this right, my love. He'll bring you back, I know he will." The words tumbled out in a rush, a fervent plea to a being no longer capable of hearing or caring.
Two Time's heart raced as they clutched Azure's limp body close, tears streaming down their face. "I just need to wait," they whispered to themselves, voice trembling with desperate hope and anticipation. "I did the ritual correctly. I know I did."
