Luzuccia Marilyn Noceda knew a lot of things. She knew how to speak four different languages, she knew how to read between the lines in the books she reads, she knew a lot about biology and chemistry. She also knew she was different. The way her mind works to the things that draw her attention most.
Most of all, she knew Mami kept secrets from her. And Luzuccia kept secrets from Mami; how she's treated by Gravesfield High among those secrets.
Just one Bad Day, worse than any other, causes the preteen to break. She runs, faster than she's ever run before. Chased into the woods, she escapes through a cabin. Escapes into a different world.
Maybe. Just maybe, Luzuccia will find a place to belong here...
