Now faced with a rapidly approaching death, she desperately searches for a way out – but the harder she swims, the deeper she seems to sink. Quickly running out of time and options, V discovers that true liberty has a steep price – and someone has to pay up.
This work intends to fill the gaps left by 2077’s generous opportunities for player self-insertion and RP. It will mainly focus on making (this version of) V a proper character, depicting her path from being a nobody to a Night City legend, her friendship with Johnny, and the many, many obstacles they have to overcome together, as well as the impact this all has on her personality and outlook. Several changes will be made to the story; some are minor, others are major, and a select few may even be lore-altering. This may not be the exact story we all know, but I intend to make it a good one!
