“You were dead.” Rex’s desperation for answers cut into Ahsoka with the intensity of a vibroblade. His shaky fingertips tilted her chin up ever so slightly. “I thought you were bloody dead.”
“I’m so sorry, Rex.” Ahsoka was taken aback with just how weak her voice sounded out loud. “I’ve got a lot of explaining to do, if you’ll listen. I understand if you don’t want to. I just—”
Maybe Ahsoka was more oblivious to social cues than she had thought. Because her mind all but short-circuited as she found herself drawn into a kiss.
The Empire has fallen, and Rex and Ahsoka reunite for the first time following her duel with Vader. AU in which Rex ages normally.
