“Chay, baby, calm down,” said Kim.
“I’m perfectly fine,” he said. “I just need more energy so I can feel miserable properly,” he said and nervously stuffed more food into his mouth.
“We’ll get married tomorrow. I promise,” whispered Kim.
“Thanks, babe, I appreciate it. But the wedding’s cancelled,” said Chay, feeling his stomach dropping a bit when he said that again. “No venue, no food, no cake, no rings.”
