Sirius expected to die, then and there - but Aster seemed to have other plans.
Sirius survives. The others didn't.
Another raid, another explosion, another safe house with the dark mark lingering above it.

Sirius survives, again and again, but not by his own skills.
He lived by what seemed to be the last threads of humanity left in Asterope Rosier-Black after the death of her husband.Sirius does not know if she's doing this to save or torture him. (He does not know which one is worse)
