After the war, Harry and George vanished without a trace. 5 years later, Deputy Head Auror Weasley follows a trail of ferret tracks and finds his friend living in a forest unlike any other. Harry’s changed, and Ron’s finding his feelings for him have too. Meanwhile, violent crimes are still plaguing London, and Ron and Unspeakable Granger are trying to unmask those responsible. He’d probably make more progress if he focused on the case more than his weirdly distracting long lost friend.
Of course Ron showed up out of the blue, he's always had a knack for throwing Harry's life off balance. Also, Harry's friend Draco is a meddling bastard. Unrequited feelings are harder to ignore on the second go, but he can’t focus on that. He has a forest to protect, wands to craft, sins to atone for. His plan could very well change the course of history. If it’s even possible, if he can stay out of his own way, and if Ron can stop strutting around like the infuriatingly sexy distraction he is and always will be.
A split POV story about two friends resolving past injuries to find a new kind of joy. Filled with extraordinary magic, hard-won love, cheeky elves, cheekier friends, deadly crimes, and dangerous desires.

REPOSTING: The first few chapters are mostly the same, but afterwards it changes drastically.
Noel Dubois wants to be a wandmaker. When he got his own wand at the age 11 he knew then that he would make them himself. Ollivander gives him the books he'll need to begin his studies. He spends his whole life from then on studying wand lore, and practicing his whittling.
As an adult, he has gone on many adventures to find rare ingredients for his wands. Woods he's never tried, essences of creatures no one has ever seen before. Hunting them down from folklore, local gossip and through the Natives. After an incident, leaving him mortally wounded, his mother has told him that he can no longer go on Adventures alone, and that it is time to start wedding planning so that he can settle down and start his family to carry on his wandmaking legacy.
But what she doesn't know, is that he isn't in love with his fiance. He grew up with her, and sees her more as a sister besides...he doesn't even like women. So he picks someone to travel with him, someone he never would have expected, and they go on what could be his last adventure before he becomes in a family way.
