Tharn only meant to snoop at the drawing of Wansarut in Phaya's notebook, but when he touches a sketch of Sakuna and Wansarut he is thrust back in time- or at least his vision is. Using this new power to his advantage, Tharn looks for answers to his karma through Phaya's sketches. Yai won't let him go at this alone. Soon the brothers are racing through mystical elements and straight at someone they thought was a friend. The thump of his heart is no longer his own.
The woman, Wanwisa, looks at him sometimes with a little pity, a little sorrow — like she should at a stranger wearing the skin of her sister and the beating heart of her unrequited love. As the days pass by, empty and silent, they sit at tables, look out windows, stroll in nature that should be familiar but is not.
“We used to go swimming here,” Wanwisa says, a shimmer of scales on her skin.

Seeing Chalothon's joy, Wansarut managed to smile back, holding in her tears for later. As soon as he left, she hurriedly made her way to the forest and sprinted as far as her legs would carry her, the sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds surrounding her. The sun shone brightly overhead as she finally let her tears fall, each droplet reflecting the brilliance of the sunlight. Chalothon was a good person, kind and brave, everyone she knew dreamt of marrying him and being his queen. She is lucky. She should be happy.
